简介: 由日升动画制作、日本动画导演富野由悠季所监督制作，2002年开始在日本WOWOW播出。此作与《机动神脑》、《∀高达》并称为富野的“复活三部曲”。主人公盖纳（ゲイナー）是一个生活在西伯利亚的园顶管辖区的少年，盖纳他在网络虚拟对战游戏 OvermanBattle中的表现出众而得到了"king"的称号。日常生活基拿只是一个很平凡的少年，和死去的双亲一样他也对"返乡主义者"持有怀疑的态度；但是一天他却被突然出现的西伯利亚铁道警察带走拘留了起来，在监狱里盖那遇见了一个名叫该隐比琼的男子。有感于该隐的性格盖纳决定和他一同越狱，该隐带着盖纳潜入梅大优公爵的收藏室盗取"overman"以便逃出园顶管辖区，为了打败前来阻挠的西伯利亚铁道警备队，盖纳第一次驾驶着真实的overman开始了他的战斗。
