简介: 在一百年以后的21世纪,那时地球上有一个"宇宙情报局(USS＝Universal Secret Service)",专门策划搜集宇宙间各星球之的情报,隶属其下的 "七彩谍报队"则负责保护地球人类的安全。该队以"云霄基地"为中心,经常对地球和外太空作例行侦巡任务,找寻可能对地球不利之阴谋份子。在火星侦察中,发生了不幸事件。黑上尉误以为火星隐形人是敌人,而主动摧毁他们在火星的基地,导致火星隐形人(Mysterons)的统治者认为地球人具有敌意,企图侵略他们,于是主动在地球展开一连串报复性的攻击,不断发动心理性的神经战,于是"地球"与"火星"之间的间谍战自此揭开。
