简介: 本剧讲述了朱德元帅戎马生涯的传奇一生。清末，毕业于云南讲武堂的朱德跟随蔡锷将军参加了护国讨袁等战争，展现出卓越的军事指挥才能，渐成为护国名将。但随着好友蔡锷将军的去世、战友亲人等在战争中牺牲走失，使他对军阀混战由厌恶变为消沉。在感到前途渺茫之际，通过周恩来的介绍，朱德加入了中国共产党，完成了从一个旧军官到无产阶级革命家的伟大转变。之后朱德在南昌积极准备并与周恩来等人领导了震惊中外的“八一起义”，率领起义将士冲出重围，与毛泽东在井冈山胜利会师，并一起指挥红军打败国民党军队的多次“围剿”，又带领红军胜利长征。抗日期间，朱德担任八路军总司令，为抗战作出巨大的贡献。抗战胜利后，蒋介石再次挑起内战，在已年过花甲的朱德和毛泽东等人的指挥下，解放军取得了三大战役的决定性胜利，新中国的曙光终于冲破层云，一轮朝阳喷薄而出。
