简介: 该剧源自湖北荆州发生的一个真实故事：一位母亲在痛失儿子后，毅然决定凭自己的力量去抓获那些伤害到自己孩子的不法分子。历时三年，她走遍全国，期间到过雪山、戈壁和边境等一些恶劣环境，同时也有经过繁华都市。在追捕过程中，她历经种种艰辛与磨难，也得到了许多热心人的帮助，同时这位母亲的个性也随之发生了微妙变化，她开始懂法，也变得更有爱心了。对公安机关也由最初的误解变成了理解和配合，最后母亲坚韧不拔的人格促使其中一名罪犯对自己的行为悔恨不已，投案自守，穷凶极恶的首犯被击毙，其它罪犯都得到了应有的惩罚。
