简介: 1931年，9.18事变爆发，日军侵略中国，不到半年就侵占了中国东北。1933年初，日军继续向华北进军，进犯热河，距热河仅二百多公里的北京城内，已是人心惶惶。随着战事的蔓延，北京故宫博物院众多珍贵的文物在战火中面临着被日军城破洗劫的危险，为了安全起见，当时的北京故宫博物院领导和众多专家决定选择重要文物进行大迁移，一万多箱故宫国宝中精选而出的文物被秘密运离北京，先至南京和上海，后再分南、中、北三路，历经14年光阴，辗转上万公里。在战火纷飞的年代里，各路运送和隐藏文物的故宫文物典收者们想尽方法保护文物，最终上万箱的文物无一损毁遗失，创造了震惊世界文物保护史奇迹。本片通过展现战争岁月中故宫国宝转移过程中的典守者们砥砺前行的故事，追忆那段令人崇敬、感人至深的文化抗战史。
