简介: 民国初年，社会动荡不安，军阀割据导致民不聊生。一张遗落世间的藏宝图引来袁世凯部下督军、日本特务、革命党人等各方势力的秘密追踪。南方政府特务沈玉茹为追查这张藏宝图的下落而潜入戏班。在争夺藏宝图的争斗中，玉茹目睹父亲被射杀，悲痛异常的她意外失足跌倒导致失忆，流落街头。时值小四喜师傅沈铁兰带团返回北平，救下玉茹并纳入门下，改名为沈菊仙，与师姐尚菊笙、张菊秋和阮菊玲同为师姐妹。然而，师姐们对菊仙心存成见，处处排挤刁难她。一次意外，让菊笙芳心暗许富家少爷乔浩光，而浩光已心有所属，一见钟情于菊仙，这导致菊笙与菊仙的关系更加紧张。而后，菊仙幸得当时花旦名角梅芷苓及高一鸣的提携，终于与众师姐妹令女京戏班得以吐气扬眉。而此时的菊仙，也开始慢慢恢复以往的记忆。
