简介: 《珍·古道尔的传奇一生》以珍的第一人称视角，顺叙回顾了珍·古道尔23岁第一次接触动物研究以来，长达60年光阴的人生历程。20世纪60年代，作为国家地理最早资助的女性探险家之一，年轻的珍离开了英国伦敦温馨的家，深入坦桑尼亚危险的丛林，成为一名职业黑猩猩观察者，之后的六十年她便扎根于此，奉献着青春年华致力于保护黑猩猩种群和栖息地。正是她观察到黑猩猩会制作和使用工具，这一发现震惊了世界。本片的绝大部分素材来源于20世纪60年代由雨果·范·拉维克在贡贝拍摄的超过100个小时的视频资料，这批珍贵的资料在国家地理的档案室尘封了数十年，直至2014年被重新发现并在纪录片中首次曝光。伴随菲利普·格拉斯的迷人配乐，让观众感受到在那个仍由男性主导野外科研的年代，一个女人如何通过激情、奉献和毅力改变世界。影片还把人类的命运与动物交织在一起，大大强化了人与自然的关系。
