简介: 民国北洋时期，军阀混战，百姓民不聊生，一个名为“闻香除恶”的组织制造了一系列杀人案件，死者都是罪大恶极之人。警官穆幼卿受命调查，巧遇警校女同学杜若，而她正是“闻香除恶”的一员。由于信念不同，胸怀大义的杜若、为爱疯狂的紫苏以及利欲熏心的秘书长之间展开了几番出生入死的善恶缠斗。穆幼卿帮助杜若惩恶扬善，二人友情升华为爱情，正欲结婚之际却被紫苏所害殒命，杜若悲恸万分。而紫苏尽管交出与秘书长藏匿多年的银元逃脱了牢狱之灾，却仍然无法摆脱棋子的命运，又被军阀聂将军控制。危急时刻杜若再次挺身而出，对命运绝望的紫苏这一次将逃生的机会留给了杜若，引爆了军火，与聂将军及军队葬身火海。几经沉沦，正道之火仍将燃烧。
