简介: 故事发生在某个海滨城市，炎热的暑假到来，无论大人还是孩子都满心期待着不久即将举行的烟火大会。当地一所中学内，岛田典道和安云祐介等少男少女正热烈地讨论着这样的话题：升上天空散开的烟火，从侧面看的话，究竟是圆的还是扁的？为了证实这一点，这些孩子们约定烟火大会当晚登上灯塔一探究竟。与他们的兴高采烈形成鲜明对比的是，女孩及川奈砂的沉默无语。她生活在一个离异的家庭，如今母亲准备改嫁，奈砂将不得不转校离开这里。一直喜欢奈砂的典道注意到了女孩的异样，在奈砂的邀请下，典道与之一同踏上了私奔的旅途。怎奈他们小小的计划刚刚实行不久，奈砂便被匆匆赶来的母亲领回。一旁的典道只能呆呆地望着这一切，却想不出任何办法。而随后发生的事，则令男孩懊悔不已……
