简介: 1972年，连接地球与火星的古代文明遗产“超空间门”被发现。地球向火星派出了调查团，找到了古代文明的“Aldnoah”科技。之后，火星上成立了“弗思帝国”，与地球的联合政府开战，引发了让月球碎裂的“天堂陨落”。2014年，休战十余年的地球与火星开始进行和平谈判，弗思帝国的大公主雅赛兰来到地球进行友好访问，却在日本的新芦原遭到恐怖袭击丧命。火星骑士以此为借口，发动了对地球的侵略，居住在新芦原的界塚伊奈帆被卷入了战火。而另一方面，雅赛兰的好友，随父亲移居到火星的斯雷因却发现，公主其实并没有死……
