简介: 公元2016年——。在釜谷市的天万神社做着巫女工作的初中2年生，皇缠。自幼与母亲分别的她，长年被寄养在祖父母的家中，从三个月前开始终于和父亲伸吾一起生活。也许是因为有过这种境遇的缘故，缠向往着平凡而安稳的日常。缠的好友、同时也是工作伙伴的草薙由麻，是出生于天万神社神主一族的次期巫女候补。她知道一族先祖代代都在进行驱除恶灵的“退魔行”，并邀请缠前去挑战“退魔行”的仪式“神悬之仪”。放学后，一如往常前往神社的两人，却在被毁坏的神社境内遇到了受伤倒地的由麻父母。不止如此，身为刑警的伸吾正在搜查中的诡异事件的重要参考人，似乎神智不正常的男人也在那里。为了压制狂暴的男人，由麻立即执行了“神悬之仪”，但发生异变的却并不是由麻——。追求平凡普通生活的少女所得到的，是被神明附身的驱除恶灵的能力！？皇缠，为了取回无人妨碍的平稳日常，努力地展开退魔活动！
